Shopping in Joplin

I have not been to Joplin, MO since the WuFlu panic. I stopped in Chetopa for lunch and snacks, and didn’t see a mask in sight. Chetopa is so small that every business is locally owned. While having lunch, I read in the Joplin paper that the city removed the mask requirement. While shopping, I noticed the CorporateMarts all required masks and the local ones did not.

I stopped at WallyWorld in Coffeyville to get a phone card I needed to get today. I had not been there since I got hired at the Indy Walmart. The difference was like night and day. The ‘ville had nice wide aisles and cold AC. Indy had aisles so narrow that you block the aisle every time you try to stock something on the shelf. The AC barely works to the point that the back room is cooler than the store in the early evening. Yes the customers have noticed, but they haven’t complained to management yet. They are grateful the toilets are all finally working.
