Early Sunday mornings, I like to go to the Woodshed in South Coffeyville, OK and pick up some breakfast biscuits and get the Sunday papers. Our local papers no longer print on Sunday, so I end up getting the Kansas City Star and Tulsa World. It is bad enough both papers have gone from two dollars to four dollars. Both papers are smaller due to the dramatic drop in advertising. But not having any Saturday sports results in the Star is inexcusable. The press deadline for the Sunday Star is 3pm Saturday. It’s not like the paper is printed in Wichita or Omaha. It is printed in Kansas City, along with the Wichita Eagle and dozens of other papers.
Higher prices, less content and less timely. And just to put the cherry on top of this cow pattie, you want us to try your online edition. Yep, you pissed on and pissed off your customers by the numbers. You then have the nerve to ask us to donate to support local journalism. My only donation would be a boot in the backside of the boofhead who thought this was a winning strategy.
