This was my sixth year driving the supply truck for the Fondo racers at Tulsa Tough. The week after there is a thank you party for all of the volunteers. Because I had to work, I never got to attend one before tonight. The burgers from McNellies were outstanding. I got to catch up with two of the three rest stop captains I supplied. Surprisingly, the most outgoing one was the one who didn’t show up.
While I was down there, I picked up a couple of bicycle tires I cannot get locally. A bit pricey, but I have a feeling that supply chain issues are going to create a tire shortage next year.
There was a 10 minute delay for road maintenance between Tulsa and Owasso on the way home, but I still got back before dark.
