High School football ends this week.

Kansas high school football ends the regular season this week. Most of the local teams are looking good heading for the playoffs. Coffeyville will open at home and if they beat 1-6 Fort Scott on Friday, they will host a second playoff game if they win the first. Caney is in a similar position as Coffeyville, winning its district last week. Cherryvale has made the playoffs and will open at home if they win Friday. Independence will open on the road and if results go the right way they could make the short trip to Coffeyville rather than the two hour drive to Wichita.
