I thought I could snag a lawnmower at the local Sears Hometown store’s going out of business sale. The sign said open at 8:30. I got there a little after that and the store was closed. I though I saw a couple of lawnmowers in the window, but I couldn’t tell because they were behind seven snowblowers. Snowblowers are not native to southeast Kansas. In 16 years I can count on one hand the number of times I could use a snowblower. This is a prime example of Sears’ inability to get the right product on the shelf at the right time. Good riddance Sears.
