When I was at the water company several decades ago, one of the fleet mechanics got fired. An audit found that he ordered parts for a four cylinder vehicle. Except for our forklifts the rest of our fleet was V-8s. Further Investigation showed that he had been doing side jobs and was getting the company to pay for the parts. Meanwhile he was charging his customer an arm or a leg for the part. Nice scam for the several years he was there.
