My bike is calling me

The temperature has warmed up to 55 degrees today. This is ideal bicycling weather. The roads are wet so the potholes keep moving. There is not enough daylight to try to ride to work yet, but I can go to town on my days off this week.

Australia Day

Today is Australia Day, too bad no one is celebrating around here this weekend. With the wet, cloudy weather following an arctic spell I can understand. At least our parks are safe for another year.

Lazy day

I spent most of the day in bed today. I think I caught a bug. Better take it easy because I have to go to work tomorrow night.

Persephone Days have ended

Persephone days ended on Sunday. I just got my first seed order delivered today from Johnny’s. Johnny’s is based in Maine and specializes in season extending crops and accessories. Double digit heat wave

After three days of below zero temperatures the high will finally get above 10 degrees. It will be below zero tomorrow morning, but the high will soar to 25 degrees.

Lots of cold, not much snow

A week ago we were expecting six inches of snow this week. Depending on what happens tomorrow, we will have had either two or three inches.
