Normally I wait for the trash guy to show up before trying to go to sleep. Since he is usually here by 9am, this is not a problem. Today he came at 2pm, ruining what sleep I had. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Except for Cherryvale, whose seniors graduated last week, today was the last day of school for seniors in the area. It gets a bit awkward for those seniors still involved in sports. The playoffs and regional track meets are next week, with state championships the following week. Since the seniors are no longer students, after today they will have to sign in and out to enter and leave the building each day until their teams are eliminated.
I have to go to town and pay my property tax today. Since my house is paid for, I have to write a check twice a year and today is the day.
Tulsa Athletic, the semipro soccer club was told by the National Premier Soccer League that their current venue does not meet league standards. The main objection is that the fenced off field is in an open park. They have moved their first game and have a little over a week to find a new home and get it approved by their next home game.
