I have posted several times on this blog about employees not wanting to work. They may be lazy, but the way some employers have treated the help in the past haven’t encouraged a work ethic. My first job in Kansas was loading cabinets at a cabinet company in Neodesha, about 30 miles from my house.Continue reading “Taking care of the help”

Summer, you win
With the cool start in June and putting in my window fan in two weeks later than usual, I thought I might not have to replace it with the window AC unit during the Fourth of July weekend. I was mistaken.
Summer is here
The temperature hit 100 degrees today for the first time this year. There is not much chance of it getting any cooler until the end of the weekend.
Showing up is half the battle….

This changes on Saturday as 16 teams from across the eastern two thirds of the United States come to Olathe for a combined Eastern and Central super regional tournament. I’m thinking about calling in on Friday nightContinue reading “Footy comes to Kansas in a big way”
We’re still here Groota
Five years ago today Groota Thunderpants, AKA Greta Thunberg, said we would all be dead in five years if we didn’t do what she told us to do. We didn’t and we are still alive.
Corporations ARE people
The Delaware Legislature is moving legislation that would allow LLCs to vote in local elections in Seaford, a town of 8500 people. Who in their right mind would have had this on their bingo card?
