I ordered some Yacon plants a few months ago and they finally arrived today. The boxes holding them were battered, but the plants seem to be OK. Give them a couple of days to acclimate and into the large container they go.

Heat has arrived.
I am not obsessed with perfect comfort in my house. As long as I don’t see my breath in the winter and don’t sweat while I am trying to sleep, I am good. Normally I open the windows and put my fan in Memorial Day weekend and replace it with a window AC unit inContinue reading “Heat has arrived.”
May Flowers

Mondays are better….
…..when they happen on Thursday. After tonight, I get two more days off. And if I can take better advantage of this weekend than I did the last one it will be even better.

Ten years ago I got the Kansas City Star, Lawrence Journal-World, Topeka Capitol-Journal, and the Ottawa rag, all of which were dailies. I went to three convenience stores and not one of them sold newspapers. They didn’t sell sandwiches either. Ironically WalmartContinue reading “No news(papers)”

The story of how Mason Cox went from high school soccer goalie in Texas to working out with the Oklahoma State women’s basketball team to playing for the men’s team to the AFL has to be seen to be believed. You all will get your chance tomorrow night.
