This is the 25th anniversary of the United States Australian Football League. Over the next couple of weeks, I will post some of my memories of my time playing for the Phoenix Scorpions, now the Arizona Hawks. Clubs today are primarily Americans, with a few Aussies wanting one last kick. In the early days mostContinue reading “Footy Memories”

Saudi scum slam planes into buildings day
On this anniversary, bloggers are posting what they did and where they were on that day. In my case, I was at work in a plant that had no outside contact except when a tanker driver dropped a load. Since their information was third hand at best, nothing made sense, so we kept bottling untilContinue reading “Saudi scum slam planes into buildings day”
Moving day part three and final.
We spent the next day in Coffeyville. I put up an extra ceiling fan in a bedroom and we rode bikes downtown and had lunch and rode around town. The refinery now owns most ofContinue reading “The great flood”

I lost that as a result of the sale along with all of my personal days, twoContinue reading “Layoff, Two Years Later”
9/11 plus 20
A lot of people are thinking about what happened and what they were doing 20 years ago today, so I thought I would add my two cents. I was at work at a bottled water company in Phoenix. As a QC tech my job was to test the water every hour. Any spare time IContinue reading “9/11 plus 20”
