The latest WuFlu variant has arrived. Several high school basketball games have been postponed and most of the rest are requiring masks for spectators. Hospitals are nearing capacity. This is not due to a lack of beds, but because of staffing shortages.

Attendance Day
Kansas K-12 school funding is based on attendance today. So is sport classification for high school sports. Surprisingly, schools used to make serious efforts to get kids in school on this day. Now they make no effort at all. By the end of the week, we should know what those figures were.
Disappearing Fans
Over the last five years attendance is way down at local high school and college sporting events in the area. Attendance appears to have dropped 30-40%.
