Still cool and wet
Although we finally managed to have an 80 degree day Thursday, May is going to be the coolest May since I moved to Kansas 15 years ago. The last time it was this wet was in 2007, the year of the flood. Flooding is not likely this year, since the rivers are still low.
Deja vu all over again
I was wondering why it seemed like a broken record. It turns out that last year at this time it also rained for nine straight days in mid-May. But this time, the risk of flooding is considerably lower.
Rain rain go away….
The forecast here calls for rain every day for the next ten days. Just thought I would get my whining out of the way.

I was hired by Walmart in April as a temporary part time employee. In nine months, they have to make a decision on whether to convert me to full time, part time permanent, or let me go. Took one long nap today. I have to go into town tomorrow and get parts for my SUV. Might as well take the bike and get some exercise.
No heat wave here
The AC unit on my rental house went out today. Fortunately, this has been a mild summer. Highs barely hit 90 this week. The AC people will be here tomorrow afternoon. Blogging Ain’t Easy
Due to my work schedule, I often get home from work after midnight. I guess I have to post in the morning to make sure I post every day. I have the next two days off to get back in sync.
