…were still not enough to lift the local area from extreme drought status. Some of the nearby areas have gotten some drought relief, but for some reason not in Montgomery County. It is raining pretty hard right now so maybe next week we will get some relief.

Belated planting
I meant to get some of my starts planted last week before I went out of town, but came down with a real bad cold. I finally got them in their permanent home today. Now to get the chipper fired up and take care of the downed tree limbs.
More planting
Tomorrow I get to put the okra in the garden and start some more peppers since the first ones have germinated. Time to get the last of the spring greens in before they bolt before maturity. Spring is just flying by.
More inflation
I went to the laundromat this morning and found that prices went up a lot. Standard washers went from $2.75 to $3.75 per load, dryers went from $1.25 to $1.50 per load. There was an election in Oklahoma Tuesday to allow recreational use of marijuana. It went down in flames 62 percent to 38. Oklahoma allows medicinal marijuana for almost any medical condition.
