Starting today, we do not have to wear masks at Walmart if we have all our WuFlu shots and two weeks have passed. Woo hoo.

Warm bodies wanted, cold ones considered
Walmart is trying to go back to overnight stocking, but locally we can’t get people in the door. At $14.50 to start, the pay is about as good as it gets around here. We can get the groceries, paper, detergent, and pet supplies on the shelves with the people we have. Day shift handles lawnContinue reading “Warm bodies wanted, cold ones considered”
Playing hooky
Couldn’t get any sleep, so I called off at work last night. I could use a three day weekend. Missed yesterday’s post so I will post twice today. Got to get the rent and do some shopping soon so this post is short.
Shift Change

Holidays

I was hoping to get through the Christmas season, but that is increasingly unlikely. I have been in the workforce for 40 years and have never seen a company that demandsContinue reading “Job hunting”
Shopping in Joplin
I have not been to Joplin, MO since the WuFlu panic. I stopped in Chetopa for lunch and snacks, and didn’t see a mask in sight. Chetopa is so small that every business is locally owned. While having lunch, I read in the Joplin paper that the city removed the mask requirement. While shopping, IContinue reading “Shopping in Joplin”
Long day
Normally I post after I get off work, but didn’t get home until after midnight. Maybe I should try posting in the morning. Today should be easier.
