Timing is important

My boss told me last night what I would be making as of March 1. This is 24 days before the raise goes into effect but 10 days after it was announced on Bloomberg. This is almost the opposite of the last time Wally World announced pay scale increases.

It’s nice to get a raise…

…it’s not nice to tell Bloomberg and Fox News before you tell your employees. By the way, none of my fellow associates know how much of a raise we actually got.

Walmart raising wages again

You know it’s hard to find help when Walmart is raising their entire payscale for the second time in two years. The bottom of the scale has gone from 11 dollars an hour to 14 dollars as of March something. The last raise cost us our profit sharing. Spring is coming

The first sign of spring is the seed catalogs that come around Christmas time. The second sign is when garden supplies pop on the shelves at Wally World. They arrived yesterday.

Overtime

I had to replace my water heater last week in addition to remodeling the bathroom. It looks like I better get some overtime while I still can. I haven’t decided which of my two nights off I am going to work yet.
