We left Santa Rosa, New Mexico early for the drive to Coffeyville. The trip was uneventful, even managing to avoid Tulsa rush hour traffic. We arrived in late afternoon and spent the next two hours unloading my stuff of the Uhaul. The sun was starting to set so roomier and I were on the porchContinue reading “Moving, Part Two.”

Moving Day Anniversary
Sixteen years ago today, I left Phoenix to move to Kansas. It was memorable for the last minute chaos. The City of Phoenix was buying my house and I chose July 11 as a closing date. The week before I quit my job at the PetSmart warehouse and closed on my house in Coffeyville. IContinue reading “Moving Day Anniversary”
Buffaloes open at home.
After a late start, the Tulsa Buffaloes will play their first game at home when they host the North Texas Devils. I haven’t been to a Buffs game since 2019 and am trying to figure out how to work around the work schedule.

Fremantle and Brisbane could theoretically catch the Cats withContinue reading “Cats on top of the ladder”

Fireworks season is over
I didn’t get a chance to shoot off any fireworks this year because my days off came after the season ended. Next year, I will have the Fourth of July off. When I moved to Kansas it was the first time I lived in a state I could shoot off legal fireworks. For the firstContinue reading “Fireworks season is over”
Heat warning ahead.
We have managed to avoid 100 degrees so far this summer. This week should bring an end to that.
Cats roll to second.
Geelong took care of business beating wooden spooners North Melbourne 144-32 earlier today. The Cats are now in second place going into Thursdays match with top of the ladder Melbourne at home. Geelong has now won six in a row mostly bottom feeding. Let’s see how they do in prime time against quality opposition.
