AFL finals are set.

With the regular season done, a week off before the finals begin. Geelong will play Collingwood and Melbourne will host Sydney in a lose and you still get a home game but not a week off scenario. Cats win, clinch finals berth.

Geelong beat the Western Bulldogs 94-66 and guaranteed a place in the finals. Because the Bulldogs were the ninth place team after the loss, Melbourne and Collingwood also clinched finals berths with victories this morning. Brisbane can do the same tonight if they win. Cats alone atop the ladder

Geelong won in a shootout over Port Adelaide 106-94. In spite of missing 60% of their shots on goal, Geelong managed a 91-63 victory over Melbourne. The margin of victory was important.
